Oh, @!#%

Well, it was bound to happen at some point or another and unfortunately it has. Our daughter has uttered her very first swear word. I know, I know...such a proud moment for a mother! And before I go any further, let me first say that the parent she heard it from starts with an "M" and ends with an "arc." Oops, did I give it away??? (Trust me, I'm not saying I'm blameless, but this time...it wasn't me she heard it from). I tried my very hardest not to react when she said it (not easy, considering how insanely funny it was) and just asked her to say something else instead. So far, she hasn't repeated it....and hopefully she won't. Somehow I held out hope that she wouldn't pick up any of our bad habits, guess that was wishful thinking! Does anyone else have a funny swear word story to share so I don't feel so bad?

Jill,
When Ashlyn was little (like 3) Josh took her and Jayden for a nice little Sunday walk. There was a group of people down the street and out of no where Ashlyn said, "I wonder what in the hell their doin?" Josh about died and Jayden was dying becuase she knew it was a bad word. I honestly don't know where Ashlyn heard that saying but she picked it up somewhere. It was too funny!

The funniest one I can think of is when Austin was a newborn and Kalli was 3 (I think 3 is the magic age here) Kalli had been watching Home Alone alot. Austin was sitting in his bouncy chair and Kalli walked up to him and said "Get the Hell out of here"
It was one of those times I wasn't sure if I heard her right, but then she said it again and I about died laughing.
Enjoy Sidney's age right now. (I am sure you are) but I absolutely love the age 3 1/2 to 4. I wish I could have bottled Kalli up at that age. She said and did the funniest things.

Once Joby was buckling Bridger into his car seat, and he said, "Dad this seat is hot as hell." Definitely a saying he got from his father as well.

That is too funny Jill! I can't remember an exact instance, but I remember Bailee saying the D word a couple of times, we thought it was pretty funny and laughed a couple times, so then she started doing it more on purpose, not good! That was a cute pic of Sydney in the hat! mel

Reading everyones posts is so fun!! Jill that made me laugh so hard when I read this post!!! I do have a story to share, Ethan was given the old teenage mutant ninja turtles video for his 5th b-day from Missy and Luke, and they didn't know that it said "damn" a couple of times in it. Well, neither did I and next thing I know Ethan starts saying "damn" when he didn't do something right. It was funny at first, but then we had a nice long talk after....it happens to the best of us!!

Funny! Karissa used to use the phrase "dam* good"...a few times, it was so cute at 1st I didn't say anything, but I finally did and she was upset that I hadn't told her sooner.. Very cute pics on here!
